All About Anal Bleaching

March 4th, 2009

Bear or no bear, if you have an issue with discoloration down there, you should do what porn stars have been doing for a long time…

(The following article contains information on products that are available mainly in the U.S. and Canada. The ‘South Beach Lightening Gel for Sensitive Areas’ is available in the UK and other additional countries as well.)

Discoloration in the genital and/or anal area has been an issue for many and it’s especially disconcerting for gay men and this includes the bear community.

Anal discoloration is unsightly and it brings up questionable hygiene when in reality it has nothing to do with it. The cause of anal discoloration can be many and includes aging, hormonal changes, medications and simple body chemistry. Any of these can give an unappealing yellowish-brown, or purple-brown color to the anal area and most people don’t know what to do about it. Some feel ashamed or self conscious and it can interfere with their sex life.

Leave it to the porn industry to find a solution for this problem.

Anal and/or genital bleaching has been quietly  practiced in the porn industry for many years and lately it has been discovered by Hollywood and the social elite. The practice is slowly moving into mainstream society and as a result several products have popped up in salons and on the internet. As always, many of these products are nothing more than repackaged versions of previously available cosmetics that have been used to lighten the skin on the face or body and can contain dangerous chemicals that should NOT be used at all, and definitely not on your private area. These products should be avoided.

So, what’s a man to do…?

Well I have good news for you. There is currently one natural product out there worth considering and two other products that can be used safely.

The natural product is called ‘South Beach Lightening Gel for Sensitive Areas’ and it is made by South Beach Skin SB Skin Solutions Lightening CreamSolutions out of Florida. It uses mainly Vitamin C, Bearberry leaf extract and Licorice root extract as lightening agents and it is effective, but only up to a point. For some people it doesn’t totally take care of the issue and they need to use a stronger product. The fact that they charge $49.95 for it just because they can, is also something to think about, especially when there are alternatives that can be had for about $8 bucks.

These alternatives are over-the-counter products that are available from a drugstore. Men who do not want to shell out $50 bucks for a small tube of novelty cream, or those that tried these natural products before but are still left with discoloration should consider getting these instead.

Both of these creams contain 2% hydroquinone which is the highest concentration you can buy over-the-counter and which is the highest amount you would want to use on your bum anyway. You have to know that hydroquinone has been banned in several countries (mostly in the European Union) because in studies it has been shown to cause cancer in ultra high doses. But, the consensus is that this was a reactionary measure and that hydroquinone is safe to use in low concentrations.

The products are called ‘Porcelana” and ‘Esoterica’. PorcelanaPorcelana is lighter and has a fresh scent while Esoterica is a bit heavier and greasier with a more subtle smell. Because both creams use the same active ingredient it doesn’t matter which one you use but make sure you get the night time version. Normally products containing hydroquinone also contain sunscreen and are designed for daytime use. The reason for this is because UV rays can create re-darkening of the skin in the presence of hydroquinone when it’s exposed to the sun. So make sure you get the night time product that contains no sunscreen.

I realize that most bears would rather get a root canal than go shopping for some cream, let alone for one that’s used “down there”, but all you have to do is go to your drugstore, find the isle, pick it up and go to the register. You don’t have to say anything or ask anything. You’re certainly not under any obligation to tell the lovely lady at the counter what you will be using it for.

Makes sense?

Ok, now that you have your ass bleaching cream what’s next? Simple. EsotericaYou hop in the shower, clean yourself up and dry off. Then you have to do some deforestation of the bear kind. YES, you are going to have to carefully clip and shave the hair around your anus. Once the entire discolored area is hair-free you can apply a thin layer of lightening cream twice a day, every day for about 6-8 weeks, or until your wink turns pink.

Once you achieved the desired result you’ll have a choice to make. You can keep applying the cream once a week (or so) to maintain the color, or if you are bothered by the hydroquinone you can buy the natural South Beach product and see if that does the trick. If not then you will have to stick with what works.

And there you have it.

If you are bothered by anal discoloration there IS something you can do about it.

Finally you will be able to spread those cheeks wide without a care in the world and enjoy all of them benefits.
